Tiny Selbumittens

A friend of mine wanted some tiny selbumittens, and I actually wanted to try to make them. They turned out to be really cute and I thougt maybe some other would like to make them as well!

This is what you need:
5 dpns in size 2,0 mm.
A little amount of left over yarn in two colors
A safety pin or some scrap yarn to hold the thumbstitches

Directions:
Cast on 28 stitches and work 2x2 rib for 8 rounds. Next round, knit all stitches and increase 4 stitches evenly.
Now knit the chart. On the right mitten you put the stitches marked yellow on a safety pin or scrap yarn and on the left mitten you put the stitches marked with green.

Thumb:
Put the stitches you set aside earlier onto a needle and pick up 5 stitches at the back of the thumb. Knit 7 rounds. On the 8th round knit 2 together 5 times. Pull yarn through the 5 remaining stitches and fasten off.

If you want to knit the mittens without thumb, simply knit the chart and skip the thumb or make de front two times.

If you make these I'd love to see the finished result!

These patterns are my design and is for non-commercial use only. However, you are free to make as many of them as you like for personal use.

  2. Tusen takk for at du delte denne flotte oppskriften!
